Lost every key? I can originate one from scratch — cut to code and programmed to your vehicle on site. Mechanical, transponder, sidewinder and fob keys.
Car key replacementIgnition repair & replacement
Key won't turn, turns but won't start, or the cylinder is worn to the point that any key wiggles it. I repair or replace the ignition lock and key it to your existing key where possible.
Ignition servicesFobs & remotes
Remote entry fobs, flip keys and proximity fobs supplied, programmed and paired. Dead fob after a battery change, or a spare for the second driver — both are quick jobs.
Broken key extraction
Key snapped in the door, the ignition or the trunk. I extract the broken half without wrecking the cylinder, then cut you a fresh key from the remaining piece or to code.

Glove box that won't open or won't stay shut, and trunk locks that have seized or been forced. Latch, cylinder and lock repair or replacement.

A dealership can absolutely make you a key. The question is what it costs you in time and hassle to get the car to them.
- No tow. The dealership needs the vehicle on their lot. I work at yours.
- No waiting on an order. I carry blanks and programming equipment with me.
- Evenings and weekends. Their service department closes. I don't.
- One visit. Cut, programmed, tested and in your hand before I leave.
Where a job genuinely needs dealer-only equipment or a security code only the manufacturer holds, I'll tell you that on the phone rather than drive out and charge you to find out.

What to have ready
Have these to hand when you call and I can quote you accurately in one go.
- Make, model and year — a 2012 Corolla and a 2022 Corolla are very different jobs
- The VIN — visible through the windshield at the base of the driver's side, or on your registration
- Proof it's yours — registration, title or insurance in your name, plus photo ID
- What happened — locked out, lost all keys, key broke, or the ignition won't turn
- Where the car is — a street address or a cross-street is fine
If you're standing in a parking lot at midnight and you can't find half of that, call anyway. We'll work it out.

What people ask
Can you come to me, or do I have to tow the car?
I come to you. The van carries the key machines, the programming equipment and the tools, so the work happens wherever the car is sitting — a driveway, a work parking lot, the side of the road.
Is a locksmith cheaper than the dealership for car keys?
Usually, yes — and it's almost always faster. A dealership normally needs the vehicle brought in and the key ordered in. I cut and program at your vehicle, generally in one visit. Call with the year and model and I'll quote you before I leave the shop.
My car is push-to-start. Can you still help?
In most cases, yes — proximity fobs can be programmed the same way a transponder key can. A handful of makes and model years lock this behind manufacturer-only tooling. Tell me the year and model when you call and I'll give you a straight answer instead of a maybe.
Will making a new key stop my old ones from working?
Only if you want it to. If your keys were stolen, I can wipe the old ones from the vehicle's memory so they no longer start the car. If you've simply lost one and want a spare, your existing keys keep working.
